Are clinics/clinicians eligible to be a DMEPOS supplier without DMEPOS accreditation?

Yes! Certain eligible professionals (Physician/NPs/PT/OTs/PAs) may be exempt from DMEPOS accreditation otherwise needed to provide lymphedema compression treatment supplies.

Eligible professionals include facility owners who are MDs/NPs/PT/OTs/PAs dispensing items only to well-established patients in the practice. PTAN Application process is still required. No surety bond or accreditation needed. Consult with a healthcare attorney for guidance to minimize risk
