Individual course fees range from $135 for Early Bird Registration to $185 for Standard Registration. A $25 discount is available if an individual registers for both the Basic Foundations of Fitting and Beyond Fitting: Cornerstones to Success courses. SPECIAL PRICE: If you completed the ONLINE version of the ABC’s of Fitting Basic Foundations of Fitting/Pre-certification Course you can attend one or both LIVE classes at a 50% discount compared to the standard registration fee. Courses start promptly at 8 AM and will conclude by 5 PM. All-day attendance is required to receive ABCOPP and/or BOC credits. Please plan accordingly.

Basic Foundations of Fitting

The ABC’s of Fitting Basic Foundations of Fitting course is the “Pre-certification” or “Approved Entry Level” course that meets or exceeds the pre-certification prerequisites set forth by both ABCOPP and BOC. This course prepares an individual to sit for the ABCOPP and/or BOC mastectomy fitter certification exam. This course is ideal for a new or inexperienced mastectomy fitter but is also a great refresher course for an experienced fitter. Class content includes:

• Certification requirements
• Breast cancer types, stages, and surgeries
• Breast physiology and pathophysiology
• Measuring for fitting
• Selecting product
• Fitting room etiquette
• Regulatory and ethical considerations for patient management
• Building a lasting relationship with your patients
• Basic marketing
• Live, hands-on fitting demonstration

Uncertified individuals are eligible to sit for the ABCOPP and/or BOC mastectomy fitter certification exams after completion of this course. Beyond Fitting: Cornerstones to Success

The ABC’s of Fitting Beyond Fitting: Cornerstones to Success course is an extension of the Basic Foundations of Fitting course and is recognized by both ABCOPP and BOC as a “Continuing Education” course for an experienced fitter. This course explores critical topics, such as billing, more deeply than time allows for in the Basic Foundations of Fitting course. This course is most appropriate for an experienced mastectomy fitter; however, a new or inexperienced mastectomy fitter will benefit greatly as it will better prepare the individual for the ABCOPP and/or BOC mastectomy fitter certification exam. Class content includes:

• Breast Cancer
• Anatomy, Physiology & Pathophysiology
• Types of Breast Cancer
• Stages of Breast Cancer
• Cell Grade of Breast Cancer
• Surgeries & Treatments
• Quality of Life Model
• Relating to the Patient
• Lymphedema
• Documentation and Billing updated to address current requirements & challenges
• Marketing

ABCOPP certificants are eligible to receive: 7.25 (S) and 1.75 (B) Cat I Credits. BOC certificants are eligible to receive: 7.5 (S) and 1.5 (B) CEUs. (CEU information is subject to change without notification.)
