American Breast Care pocketed mastectomy bras and most camisoles are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance plans.  Ask your Certified Mastectomy Fitter for more details.   If using this garment to treat lymphedema, you may be able to bill to truncal compression codes in the new Medicare benefit category, Lymphedema Compression Treatment Items. Depending on the patient's needs and the medical professional's input, the product may fall into one of these three codes:

  • A6568 – Gradient compression garment, torso and shoulder, each
  • A6589 -- Gradient pressure wrap with adjustable straps, bra, each
  • A6528 -- Gradient compression garment, bra, for nighttime use, each
